De subtiliteit van de woekering
Het is niet de eerste keer dat het werk van Stephanie Leblon de confrontatie
aangaat met de wanden van De Wael 15. Voor de nieuwe expo Growflow
breidt ze haar artistieke reis uit met sculpturen, een geslaagd nieuw pad naar
de derde dimensie. Haar eerdere werk in de schilderkunst belichaamde altijd
al de kracht van natuurlijke groei, maar met de toevoeging van
beeldhouwwerken aan haar repertoire, brengt ze oudere thema’s op een
verrassende manier tot leven. Haar sculpturen doordringen de ruimte en
vangen het licht op een manier die haar schilderijen nooit eerder konden.

“Woekering,” zegt men, is het ongecontroleerde, het ongeremde, de wildernis die zichzelf dicteert.
Het is de kracht die onbevreesd door barrières breekt, die leven voortbrengt in zijn puurste vorm.
Echter, in Leblons artistieke universum neemt woekering een andere gedaante aan. Ze herdefinieert
deze kracht, temt haar tot een vorm van sublieme elegantie, waarbij het doorgaans onbeheersbare
wordt gedomesticeerd en gekanaliseerd in een subtiel meesterschap. In haar schilderijen vloeien
lijnen en vormen op een organische wijze samen, terwijl haar beeldhouwwerken haast letterlijke
uitdrukkingen worden van groei en beweging. Toch behoudt ze de subtiliteit zowel in de textuur van
de verf als in de gebeeldhouwde lijnen van haar sculpturen. De werken van Growflow getuigen van
Stephanies diepgaand begrip van de natuurlijke wereld en haar vermogen om zowel overvloedige
groei als delicate finesse in één compositie vast te leggen.
Die subtiele finesse openbaart zich als een stilte te midden van het tumult van de natuur. Haar
penseelstreek is niet ruw, maar eerder een liefkozing van de elementen, een delicaat weven van
lijnen en texturen. Het is alsof ze de fluisteringen van de natuur oppikt en vertaalt in een visuele taal
die ons uitnodigt tot introspectie. Haar kunst verbindt ons met de geheime ritmes van groei en verval
die anders aan onze aandacht zouden ontsnappen.

Leblons werken zijn als symfonieën van subtiliteit, waarbij de noten van de natuur worden gespeeld

The subtlety of the proliferation
It is not the first time that Stephanie Leblon’s work has confronted the walls of
De Wael 15. For the new Growflow exhibition, she is expanding her artistic journey with sculptures, a successful new path to the third dimension. Her previous
work in painting has always embodied the power of natural growth, but with the
addition of sculpture to her repertoire, she brings older themes to life in surprising ways. Her sculptures penetrate the space and capture the light in a way that
her paintings never could before.
“Ulvado,” they say, is the uncontrolled, the unchecked, the wilderness that dictates
itself. It is the power that fearlessly breaks through barriers, that produces life in its
purest form. However, in Leblon’s artistic universe, proliferation takes a different
form. She redefines this power, tames it into a form of sublime elegance, where
the usually uncontrollable is domesticated and channeled into a subtle mastery. In
her paintings, lines and shapes flow together in an organic way, while her sculptures become almost literal expressions of growth and movement. Yet she maintains
